Every designer has a pre-collection ritual. I have heard some awesome stories from my designer friends about what gets their creative juices flowing, and not just your typical research trips to far-away lands.

Some talk about requiring absolute solitude, while some hole-up in libraries with books and books on intriguing subject matter. I personally get inspired with a mix of those things, inspirational trips and lots of photo research get my visual brain stimulated.

I love to put together these massive vision boards of all the ideas I might want to incorporate into a collection. Then little by little I edit it down to a tight group of only what I absolutely love. This makes the vison for the collection focused and thoughtful. I’m always asking myself, what would the Stephanie Kantis woman want? Thinking of you challenges me to create pieces that are always evolving but stay true to the brands core.

Check out one of my personal vision boards that was created for the Fall’ 16 collection. Just looking at this puts me in a mood to conquer the world and find my inner warrior princess. How about you?!

SUMMER LOVE

Labor Day weekend is always bitter sweet for me. It marks the official end of summer (boo!) and with that, the start of Fall. Fall is like the New January. It’s a time to make one last big impression before the year is out.

This Fall is such an exciting time for us. We are launching our FIVE YEAR anniversary collection. Wow, can’t believe that five years has come so fast. I can remember being in Mexico just yesterday. Dreaming of the possibilities of making a jewelry collection and even further away in my mind was the amount of success we would find.

I can’t wait for you to see the new collection and I would love to hear what you think, but let’s indulge in summer for one more week before it’s officially over. I am sharing with you some of my favorite summer vacation images. Looking through the images helped me relive those amazing memories one more time. Here’s to one fantastic summer and the anticipation of our biggest celebration yet, five years in the making.

A PROPER WELCOME

Finally! I want to wish you a proper welcome to the new and improved Stephanie Kantis Blog. We have been working so hard this summer to revamp the look of our website and pack it with content and pieces that we know you will love.

It has always been very important to me that I have a place to connect with the people who have supported me the most, you all. In this fast-paced world of social media and 180 character thoughts, it’s refreshing to have a place to write a bit longer and more intimately.

I plan on using this blog to talk about the things that I care deeply about, like my inspirations, thoughts and collections that truly are reflections of my heart and soul. For the past five years my husband and I have been building this brand into something we can both be proud of. A name that represents real quality and craftsmanship that seems to have been forgotten in this trend driven industry.
