True Love

True Love

This week with Valentine’s Day coming right around the corner I thought I would share a little about some of my favorite pieces that have stood by me through thick and thin. The true loves of my jewelry collection.

Lots of jewelry trends come and go but I count these pieces as those that stand the test of time and always make their way into my daily style season after season, year after year.

I chose pieces from every category because I know how some people can’t live without a beautiful earring or a statement necklace. We all have a certain comfort level when it comes to our style. This of course is true of the clothes we wear but over the years I see it with the jewelry we invest in as well.

I hope you take this as a source of inspiration for the style you have curate dover the years as well as a push to possibly try something new and add a twist to your already careful edited collection.

Tools of the Trade

Tools of the Trade

Last week I told you to dream big, and this week am I’m going to share a little behind the scenes of how I do just that. I know I love to hear about what other people are using to make their lives easier and more fulfilling. There are so many apps, tips and tricks nowadays I thought I would share some of my own in case you were needing a little inspiration to try a new way.

When it comes to the tools I use every day to help me stay motivated and continue to keep creating, I rely heavy on a morning routine. It changes a little week-to-week or month-to-month, but it’s basically the same idea.

HYDRATE

I keep a big glass of water next to my bed (in a glass jar because no plastic bottles in my house!) and drink the whole thing upon waking. Think about it you just slept for 6-8 hours (hopefully) without any water. Your body is thirsty even if you don’t think so. Sometimes I put some lemon too because it’s great for the digestion.

APPRECIATION

Everyone talks a lot about gratitude and I know it sounds obvious but it truly makes difference in my day. You don’t have to write it down, I find just thinking about all the things I have and appreciate in the world sets my day off to a sensational start.

MOVE

I don’t get to exercise everyday but I do move my body in some way even if it’s just for 5 minutes. Stretching, yoga, taking a walk all feel really good for me and being outside is another plus.

FUEL

I don’t believe in diets but I do believe in eating food that makes me feel good. This usually looks like a smoothie. It’s easy on my system early in the morning and gives me the energy to tackle the day. I love adding lots of green veggies, banana and protein powder.

I hope this helps you if you’re looking for new ways to start your day. It doesn’t take a lot of time or energy, just some intention.

Goals vs. Dreams

Goals vs. Dreams

Happy New Year! (cue the confetti) I hope everyone had a sensational New Year and relaxing holiday with family and friends, we did! I know right now there is a lot of talk about resolutions and all that, but I wanted to bring up a new idea that I heard recently and decided to take to heart.

This is a resolution for your resolutions. Instead of thinking about them as goals, because that word gets thrown around so much and goals seem like these hard to attain tasks we add on to-do lists that never get done. What if we changed the thinking around goals to dreaming instead?

Doesn't that just sound so magical. As we become adults it seems the world tells us to stop dreaming, get your head out of the clouds and get “realistic.” It’s sad. We should never stop dreaming and we should all start dreaming big this year. 2018 is the year where we dream big and make things happen.

If you haven’t already, get out your phone, or a pen and piece of piece. Start writing down everything you have ever wanted to accomplish. Stop editing it because it’s too wild or not possible. Write it all down, get all the ideas out. Then tackle the ones that make you feel the most excited/scared.

Forget about goal-setting and lets create the lives of our dreams, literally. Here’s to a magical year ahead.

In the Holiday Mood(Board)

In the Holiday Mood(Board)

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I am sure you are feeling all the cozy wintery holiday feelings and with the seasons being only a month long, there is no time like the present (pun intended) to get started.

We spent this past weekend getting the house all ready for the season. We started pulling out all the decorations and also finding a few new ones. As you know my design aesthetic tends to go towards more minimal than over-the-top and I love finding just the right touches.

It’s impossible this time of the year to not get excited because everywhere I look there are glorious light displays, fresh greenery, and vibrant colors that signal the holidays are here.

I have created a seasonal mood board that showcases everything I love about the holidays and hopefully will give you a bit of inspiration if you are in need.

That New (Mexico) Feeling

That New (Mexico) Feeling

I love the start of a new month, feels all fresh and full of possibilities but this month, feels extra special because it’s the beginning of the end of summer. It’s time to get all in those last glorious moments of summer in and really enjoy this moment, which i plan on doing.

My husband and I just got back from our yearly adventure in New Mexico, my happy place! I made a point to take a lot of really great pictures so you can come along with us. I really recommend visiting Santa Fe, it’s so full of natural inspiration. Here we go…

This amazing wall was one of the inspirations for my new Fine jewelry collections. All the organic shapes and fabulous river rocks go perfectly together. Each has been made beautifully over thousands of years with help from the rushing, free flowing water.

My husband and I love the west. There's something about the crisp air, the blue sky, all the earth tones, and the Native American spirit that's in the air.  The fabulous cuisine, artisan villages, and overall "Eco" respect of nature that most of the people seem to share really grounds both of us.  Also, here is a quintessential New Mexico, adobe home!

In the summer you would think there wouldn’t be a lot of color due to the higher temperatures and the crisp air in the mornings, light afternoon showers and the cool evenings is the perfect combination creating beautiful wildflowers and amazing herbs.

This takes me back to my love of Indian and Mexican textiles. This is but a small sampling of the amazing rugs and pillows woven in this area by Native American tribes still today. It’s so amazing all the art that is being made around me.

Every summer Santa Fe has an International folk art festival. Look at these adorable handmade wool felt booties! Here's to keeping the folk arts around the world alive and well.

That’s all I have to share for now, I hope you enjoyed that little peek into my favorite summer travels. Looking forward to a little rest and relaxing before the Fall rush starts.

Everything Is Coming Up Roses

Everything Is Coming Up Roses

For the past couple of years now, Rose Gold has been huge in the jewelry world. It seemed to be a trend but is definitely past that trend stage at this point. It’s now a color for everything...hair color, products, shoes, etc.

We are introducing Rose Gold into the collections this coming season and I am so excited!

I have recently really fallen in love with rose-colored everything. The hue is huge lately, I am sure you have noticed and I wanted to share with you some of the inspiration I have found.

I have a lot, so I am going to do a tight edit of only the best inspiration. I hope this brightens your day, it sure has been helping mine.

Pick-Me-Up

Pick-Me-Up

As the Spring season slowly closes and Summer creeps up on us, I think it’s a great time to get a little re-energized. The first few months of the year are typically a whirlwind (who feels me?) and a little pick-me-up is always a good thing.

I thought this week I would share some of my current favorite inspirational images and quotes. They say you teach what you want to learn, and these past few weeks I have really needed some of this inspiration.

Check out the below and let me know if anything is resonating with you. If it makes you feel good why not send to someone you know might need it too. Sharing is caring.

Tis’ the Season

Tis’ the Season

It’s that time of the year again…Wedding Season. Love is in the air along with lots of travels plans. Everyone knows how busy this time of year can be for weddings because of the warm and predictable weather which makes for beautiful backdrops among many other things.

I love helping brides find a special piece for their big day. It feels so special for me to be apart of such occasions year after year, it never gets old. I also really love helping brides pick out one-of-a-kind pieces to gift their bridesmaids on the big day.

Gifting jewelry for me is so perfect because it helps define the memory in a tangible thing. Just think, every time one of these bridesmaids looks at that bracelet or necklace they can remember how special the bride made them feel.

This year during wedding season I decided to run a little special, well actually a huge special. For every $250 you spend you get $50. This is perfect for when buying multiple gifts and allows for you to get a little extra bang for your buck. So don’t hesitate because this special isn’t forever. Check out a few of my favorite gift-able pieces and enjoy the season of love.

My Happy Place

My Happy Place

For the past three years I have been spending my birthday weekend in Sedona, Arizona, it’s become my happy place. There are so many reasons I feel so connected to this place, you will see in the pictures below, but it’s the nature and energy that top the list.

This year we stayed at the Enchantment Resort and visited the Mi Amo Spa. I felt so relaxed and peaceful, I couldn’t have had a better birthday. As the years pass, I find that spending time alone with my husband feels right instead of a huge party.

Most of my design inspiration comes from nature and travel, and for a while now Sedona has been the source of that. The colors, the textures, the composition of the land, everything sparks my creative spirit.

Ok, enough of my rambling, check out the images I took from my last trip and enjoy the beauty that has become my home away from home.

Til Next Time,

Did you say Spring Vacation?!

Did you say Spring Vacation?!

I know I may be jumping the gun a little bit here but I love to plan ahead especially when we're talking about Spring Vacation. While, for most of the time, I live in the always sunny south Florida, I do remember what it’s like to live in colder climates. Where just the idea of Spring Break can warm your heart when it’s snowing outside.

One thing that can put a damper on Spring Vacation is not planning ahead of time. There are so many places to visit and adventures to take, but last minute planning can take all the joy out of it.  I have had the honor of traveling a lot and love to experience new places.

I have been keeping a list of my favorite places and best advice depending on what you want to experience. I thought it might help some of you to decide where to spend your time this Spring. Check out my ideas below and if you have some of your own ideas include them in the comments. Sharing is caring.
